Upton Warren Parish Council Meeting

Held on Monday 30^th November 2009 at 7.30pm.

DECLARATION OF INTEREST.

MINUTES.

SITE MEETING WITH WEBBS – AMENDMENT.  
Councillor Poole had agreed to attend not Councillor Daly.

The Minutes of the Meeting held on Wednesday 14^th October 2009 were approved by the Council and signed by the Chairman as a true record following the amendment.

PROGRESS REPORT.

BUS SHELTER A38.  
Site Meeting postponed until January 2010.

SWAN INN – UNSIGHTLY APPEARANCE OF BOUNDARY.  
The Area Manager had promised to take action to improve the site.

FINANCE.

PRECEPT REQUIREMENTS 2010/11.  
The present precept of £2,500. 00 covered annual current expenditure but made no allowance for unforeseen eventualities.   Following discussion the Council agreed to increase the precept by 5% to £2,750. 00.   Carried.

ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT.  
Cheques were drawn in favour of:-

David Miles Gardening Services £168. 00 - £168. 00 (Lengthsman October & November).  Worcestershire

County Council £10. 00 - £10. 00 (Room Hire October & November).   Upton Warren Church Appeal Fund £150. 00 (Donation).  Proposed by Councillor Haywood, seconded by Councillor Cartwright.

MATTERS FOR ACTION.

The Council agreed to donate £150. 00 towards the cost of a concrete ramp at St. Michaels Church.

PLANNING APPLICATIONS. 

“Pitchers Rest”, Dog Lane, Upton Warren – Yard adjacent to property – Change of use.  The Council were under the impression the application was for a dog kennel, lack of information prevented further comment.

CORRRESPONDENCE.

Worcestershire County Council Waste Core Strategy – Preferred Options Consultations.

DISTRICT COUNCILLORS REPORT.

Wychavon were examining ways to make savings of ¾ million in the forthcoming budget.

SWJCS – Public Meeting scheduled to be held at Wychbold Village Hall on Saturday 27^th March 2010.

POLICE REPORT.  

Pc Tony Carter reported several field gate thefts and a major break in at Webbs Garden Centre.
