DRAFT MINUTES - UPTON WARREN PARISH COUNCIL.
Minutes of Upton Warren Parish Council Meeting held at the Sailing Centre on Wednesday 9th January 2008 at 7.30pm.
PRESENT. Councillors T. Daly (Chairman), C. Scott (Vice-Chair), C. Poole,
J. Cartwright, District Councillor Mrs. J. Pearce.
APOLOGIES. Councillor Mrs Haywood.
DECLARATION OF INTEREST.
PUBLIC QUESTION TIME. No members of the Public were present.
MINUTES. The Minutes of the last Meeting held on Wednesday 14th November 2008 were approved by the Council and signed by the Chairman as a true record.
PROGRESS REPORT.
SOUTH WORCESTERSHIRE CORE STRATEGY. Response to questionnaire awaited.
ROAD SWEEP. Monthly schedule.
OBSTRUCTIVE PARKING - SWAN LANE. It was agreed to monitor the situation and discuss again at next Meeting.
OVERGROWN HEDGE - SWAN LANE. An effort made by the owner, but inadequate. District Councillor Mrs Pearce was hoping to meet with Highways representative to tour the Parish, pointing out areas which required attention.
FINANCE. Cheques were drawn in favour of:-
Worcestershire County Council £10. 00 (Room Hire). David Miles Gardening Services (Lengthsman Duties) £140. 00. Proposed by Councillor Poole, seconded by Councillor Daly.
PLANNING. Chichester Caravans, Worcester Road, Upton Warren - Proposed replacement workshop - Council uneasy with the height of proposed building which protrudes above existing one and would present an eye-sore.
"Cooksey Lodge Farm", Berry Lane - Change of use on an agricultural building into a cold and cutting room for meat produced on the farm - No objection.
Change of use from agricultural storage to domestic and workshop with agricultural storage - No objection.
"Longhouse Barn", Cooksey Lodge Farm, Berry Lane - Garden Shed - No objection.
CORRESPONDENCE FOR INFORMATION. West Midlands Regional Assembly - Workshop 31st January 2008 - Councillors Daly and Poole to attend.
Litter Pick Bursary. It was agreed to carry out a litter pick on Saturday 28th June 2008 further information available nearer time.
DISTRICT COUNCILLORS REPORT. "Bywater Farm" - Wychavon were successful in winning their case at the High Court on 19th December 2007. The appeal process to begin again, if no appeal is lodged enforcement action will take place
Wychavon to introduce an optional fortnightly green waste collection at a cost of £30. 00 per annum (£27. 50 if registered before end of February).
PARISH MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION. Flood Relief - Improvement work to the sluice gate adjacent to Mill House would be within £1,000 grant limit allocated by Wychavon.
The Annual Parish Meeting arranged for Wednesday 19th March 2008 at 7.00pm. An opportunity for residents to raise issues and ask questions of the Parish Council.
Mr Nigel Potter - Wychavon Housing Enabler be invited to carry out a presentation on Housing Needs Survey.
